The New York, Times states the following: Israel’s response! "Israel’s attack seemed limited, and Iranian officials appeared to downplay the impact. The combination made it unclear whether the fighting between the two countries would expand — or whether Iran would choose not to respond. The White House expressed support for Israel, describing the attack as proportionate, and said it should be the end of military exchanges." New York Times
As I sit down to write this morning, I am contemplating the most effective way to raise awareness about the current era we are living in. There are those among us who are aware of the times in which we are living, but for various reasons, choose not to speak out or spread the message. While some may wonder if we are living in the tribulation period, I would say that we are not there yet, however it is approaching faster than we initially thought. The Bible verse Romans 13:11 reminds us of the urgency to wake up from our slumber, as our salvation is drawing nearer." And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed." While news networks report on global events, many of us struggle to recognize the significance of the times we are in. The Bible passage from Matthew 16:2-4 highlights the importance of discerning the signs of the times, just as we can predict the weather by observing the sky. He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red. And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?"
In the Book of Revelation, 14:6, John tells us this "And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people," It is remarkable that an angel has been tasked with spreading the eternal gospel, as the preaching of the gospel is typically entrusted to humans rather than angels. This unusual situation likely underscores the seriousness of the current circumstances, with God choosing to have His message delivered by angels instead of humans. Considering the context of this passage helps us understand why this approach is necessary. The angel's role is to guide people to revere God over Antichrist, to give glory to God instead of Antichrist, and to provide instructions on how to do so. Otherwise, the message would convey doom rather than good news. The Greek term for "gospel" (euangelion) literally means "good news," emphasizing the importance of showing people how to embrace the Lord Jesus Christ through faith to offer them eternal good news. Presenting a message solely about God's judgment is an incomplete portrayal of the gospel of Christ. The full gospel narrative not only acknowledges human sinfulness but also reveals God's solution through Christ, who "died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, was buried, and was raised on the third day." As preachers, teachers, and evangelists, God has entrusted us with the task of proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ so that others may hear, believe, and accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
