And Jesus answered and said to them, “It is not those who are well who need a physician, but those who are sick. I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.” Luke 5:31-32
The word of God tells us, it's not the righteous, who are made so by the blood of Jesus and have accepted Jesus as their Saviour and Lord that needs to be made well, but it's the Sinner. It those who have not confessed their sins to God, through Jesus Christ that need to repent or be made well. Salvation belongs to sinner, the unrighteous, the unbeliever, those that have turned their backs on God. Salvation belongs to you and I! Jesus has already purchase with his blood salvation for the worst sinner just as he did for you and I. Jesus has told us to share the good news the gospel of Jesus Christ so that, the sinful man or woman might hear and know that, they've been reconciled to God, through Jesus Christ. (The process of two previously alienated parties coming to peace with each other. Because God has reconciled us to himself through Jesus Christ, we can reconcile with each other, no longer counting our offenses against one another.)
We've never really told the sinful man or woman, there's a way out, we've told them "if you don't get it together you're going to hell" Yet the bible tells us that God has reconciled us to him through Jesus Christ the Savior and has given unto us, the spirit of reconciliation. The sinful man or woman not knowing this will go into hell even though all their debt/sins have been cancelled through Jesus Christ, The Saviour of the world. In the book of 2 Cor. 5:18-19 it tells us "Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation." Friends, eternal life (Salvation) through Jesus Christ is as simple as believing and speaking with your mouth. The devil will try to block you on every hand when it comes to this, but know what the word God tells us. "If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” Romans 10:10. Pray this prayer with me, "Most gracious God my Father, I'm a sinner and I was born a sinner and I've committed sins against you. Forgive me for the wrong I've done and save my soul from eternal damnation (Hell). I pray and believe that you've done this for me and I truly thank you! In Jesus Holy name, I pray! Amen!
