"The Weight of Hate"(inspired by 1 John 3:14–15)

Writer: PaulPaul

A heart that harbors bitter flame,

Though silent, bears the murderer's name.

For love is life, and hate is death—

A curse that chokes the soul’s own breath.

To walk in light is love's own way,

To turn from wrath and not repay.

Yet those who scorn their sister’s or brother's face

Have wandered far from truth and grace.

No blade may strike, no stone be thrown,

But hatred makes the guilt our own.

Eternal life cannot abide

Where love is scorned and hate denied.

O Lord, remove this hidden knife,

Replace revenge with holy life.

Let mercy flow where grudges dwell,

And love restore what hate befell.

Amen!
